After two years on the MFA Theatre Directing Course at East 15 Acting School, I am directing my theatre dissertation "The Amish Project" by Jessica Dickey at the Corbett Theatre. A deeply compelling and emotional play, "The Amish Project" explores the power of forgiveness and compassion in the aftermath of tragedy. This project wouldn't be possible without your support, thank you!
"The Amish Project" is a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. Originally a one woman show, "The Amish Project" has now been adapted for an ensemble. In keeping with the original one woman show, this ensemble production has been cast entirely female. Praised by the New York Times as "Extraordinary...Compelling..." and winner of the CAPPIE Award for Best Play.

Where will the money go?
Our minimum goal will ensure that our actors and crew can be paid and that we can pay for marketing and photography. This will not cover our set, costume and design costs. If we go over our target the money will still be evenly divided among the cast and crew.
If we hit our full target, this is how we have thoughtfully budgeted the amount, ensuring all cast and crew members are paid fairly:
- £700 Actors - Rehearsals and 2 performances (£100 x 7 Actors)
- £100 Deputy Stage Manager
- £100 Assistant Director
- £100 Director
- £200 Marketing and Photography
We have some great rewards to thank everyone who donates over £10 . Check them out! Even if you can't donate today, please share this project with anyone you think can support us to help the show succeed! Share on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram!
