Who are we?
We are the University of Essex Climbing club. Our goal is to try and make trips as cheap for our members so they are able to take part in all these amazing adventures with us and not have to burden themselves with a lot of the cost.
What is trad Climbing?
Traditional climbing is a modality in which the routes are not equipped, because no one has set bolts yet or for preservation reasons. We are lucky to have the Peak District national park just a few hours away by car, this park is one of the best places in the UK to do trad climbing and for that reason we frequently organise trips there.
Where will the money go?
We will use the money you pledge to buy 7 cams, each being £58, which works out to £400
(our funding minimum), once we reach our minimum the rest will go towards buying helmets
For this campaign we will do a raffle with the following prizes:
- The winner will get a club hoodie, a chalk bag and a chalk ball
- Whoever gets the second prize will go home with a club t-shirt
- The third prize will be a chalk ball
The participation system will be based in entries, the more you pledge, the more entries to the raffle you will get
