Jewellery Designed & Handmade by Me
I'm raising £2,000 to start my own business influenced entirely by my obsession with hand crafts. I am really passionate about designing and making all kind of jewellery and I put all my energy in every piece of work I create.
Who am I?
My name is Velika and I am a student at the University of Essex. I come from a small country on the Balkans with beautiful seasides and breathtaking mountain views. I just finished my year abroad in Maastricht University, Netherlands and I look forward to come back to Essex again in the autumn.
My story
Bohemian, quirky and creative from melon pips… I simply adore jewellery. As a child I loved making necklaces from painted melon pips sewn together with cotton.My designs may be a little more sophisticated these days but thankfully none of that little girl’s passion and excitement has waned! …to statement pieces I specialise in sculptural and statement pieces using a variety of processes – constructed, wax carved and cast, and hand pierced.I love the tactile nature of silver and gold. Every piece I create has something completely individual to teach me about the material I use. Colour is important to me, so I am drawn to beautiful stones, like a magpie. Each and every item I craft is entirely bespoke and utterly unique.

- New jewellery making kit (piles,cutters,shaping rings)- £150
