I am raising £1,500 to bring my production of “The Accident” to life!

Who am I?

I am a director student from East 15 Acting School, passionate about pushing the boundaries of storytelling. I’m trying to bring together voices from across the world, united by a desire to stage bold, unsettling theatre that asks urgent questions of the audience.

The story

Alfredo Traps, a travelling salesman whose car breaks down in a small village. Taken in by a retired judge and his friends, Traps is invited to join their “game” — a mock trial where the old men play judge, prosecutor, and defense counsel. At first amused, Traps soon finds himself accused of crimes he never imagined. What begins as playful banter spirals into a night of revelations, guilt, and the blurred line between theatre and reality.This razor-sharp play asks: What is justice? Is guilt something we create — or something we carry within us all along?

Where will the money go?

  • Set & Props: 400  This will cover the essential elements to create the eerie, surreal world of The Accident’s trial. It will include basic set pieces and props that are crucial for the scene setting.
  • Costumes: 400 This amount will allow us to provide the eccentric retired court characters with unique and fitting costumes to bring them to life.
  • Composing music for the show 100 
  • Choreography for the play - 100
  • Extras for Actors: 500 (if we reach 1500) This will cover basic necessities and support for the actors, such as transportation, and other small expenses to ensure they can participate in the unpaid show. It will help show appreciation for their time and effort in the unpaid show.This allocation ensures that the essential costs are covered first and any additional funds go directly to supporting the actors who are contributing their time and talent.
