A short summary of THE project

Alien Jefferson are looking to tour our debut play, Enter Mr. Citrus Man, to Aarhus Teater Katapult: 14-16 Sep and Esbjerg kulturskole: 17-18 Sep in Denmark followed by a potential weeks run at The Space Theatre in London. Pat and Pete live happily in their tiny botanic bathroom, so happily that they don’t remember any ambitions they’ve ever had in life. Until the day Mr. Citrus Man, a life guru from the Big City moves into the rest of their home. A strange letter, a forgotten dream, and a new feeling suddenly leads Pat on a dangerous journey, where what she loves the most is on the line.

Who are WE?

Alien Jefferson is an award winning 2020 graduate company from East 15’s acclaimed Contemporary Theatre course for multi-talented creatives. We are an innovative English/Danish company who celebrates curiosity by creating family-friendly adventures about life’s big dilemmas. Our philosophical stories are wrapped in absurd, humorous universes much like Pixar films. We combine multidisciplinary theatrical forms to make work with a strong, sensitive and silly identity. We don’t give the answer, but allow audiences to see themselves in our stories.

Where will the money go?

The show requires plenty of materials and props to create the wonderful world of citrus man. The money raised will help to pay for things like set, props and even our wonderful and wacky costumes. We also need to cover travel expenses for the Brits heading to Denmark and the Danes heading to Blighty which may include buying testing kits depending on restrictions at the time. Here is what the money raised will go towards; Set Costs - £500 Prop Costs - £100 Costume Costs - £100 Transport to and from Venues - £100 Travel Expenses - £200. All additional money raised after our minimum £1000 will go towards paying our team and raising funds for our future performances in the UK.

Any donations over £10 will receive a thank you Tweet from our Twitter page. Any donations over £20 will receive a personal thank you video by Mr. Citrus Man himself, posted on our Instagram. Any donations over £50 will receive both a personal thank you along with a FREE copy of 'Enter Mr. Citrus Man' playscript. Any donations over £100 will receive a thank you, a playscript and an original song devised by the company about any topic you like.
