TEACHING INTERNSHIP IN BARCELONA- A CHANCE AT FULFILlING MY DREAM

ABOUT my Project

I am raising £700 for the accommodation and flights for a volunteering professional Teaching Assistantship in Barcelona, Spain.

I am looking forward to this opportunity as it would be the chance of a lifetime to work in a professional environment that would at the same time challenge and improve my working skills but also make a notable change in terms of my personal development.  This teaching internship fits perfectly my career path as it is held by a high profile course provider that would give me the opportunity of gaining valuable work experience.

During this two-month project taking place over the summer of 2017 I will be provided with 30 hours per week worth of teaching at a private school covering all age groups. At the completion of the project I will be eligible to obtain the Teaching English as a foreign language certificate after the 140 hours of TEFL Theory along with the 6 final exams as well as 6 reflective diaries. I have been specifically chosen for this programme which is the opportunity I have been looking for but will not be able to attend it without your help.

MY STORY

I am Andreea, a 2nd year student doing Sociology with Psychosocial Studies at the University of Essex. My interest in working with children has probably started to develop whilst being a Session Leader for the Teaching Assistants Project at Vteam this year. Since the regular projects at the Vteam have come to an end for the summer term, I felt like I needed something else, maybe bigger to fill up the void of not seeing the classroom for so long.  I take pride in being one of the successful applicants chosen out of an enormous variety of students and non-students despite being only in my 2nd year. This internship comes with amazing advantages and will certainly impact my development especially since it is taking place in one of culturally rich places in Europe, Barcelona and for a very serious company that has been placing students from the UK for 20 years now, TEFL Trainer.

Where will the money go?

A MINIMUM TARGET (£700)

  • the minimum target includes the flights -  (around 200£ including baggage)
  • accommodation for the three month (500£):I am asking for this so that I could be perfectly focused on my internship and the time to meet the demands that they have (prepare for the 6 exams).
  • AN IDEAL TARGET(£800)
  • living expenses -£100/£200
  • Please note the above targets have been changed due to organisational circumstances of the internship on their part.
  • A special 'Thank you' everyone that is contributing towards achieving my dream! NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL, AS EVERY 1£ WILL BE DOUBLED  by the University!
