Live music event in base!
We are raising £900 to cover the costs of a live music event in Base, at the University of Essex. So far we have secured 3 bands to perform: Backtrackin', Matt Selley, and Coyote.
Who am i?
I'm Dave Clark, a current completion year PhD student in Biological Sciences, working with my co-organiser Corinne Whitby, a lecturer in microbiology. This gig is really important to us as we are dedicating it to a friend and colleague of ours, Aisha Coggan, who sadly passed away very recently after battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The money we raise on the night will be split between helping her family with funeral costs and a memorial for her here at Essex, alongside various cancer charity's. We really need your help in order to cover the eventual costs of this evenings events, so any donations to cover the night will be much appreciated!
our plan
We have a great night planned and want to provide students, staff and members of the public, with an evening's entertainment. Although the event is happening in a couple of weeks, we still have a number of costs that will need covering after the event has passed. And this is where we are asking for your help! It is as important as ever that we continue to create fundraising events to raise money for charities, and that we get continual support in doing so. We now want to host this event in memory of Aisha and raise money towards her memorial fund.
