Travelteer's nursing placements work with both government and private hospitals in Sri Lanka to provide ethical work experience to nursing and midwifery students. The programme will provide me with direct access to Sri Lanka’s healthcare system, with real insight into one of the world’s busiest medical environments. I’ll be shadowing practitioners in both Western and Ayurvedic fields, learning how to improve lives with alternative methods of treatment for physical and mental health ailments.

My name’s Jayde, I’m a second-year Student Nurse studying Adult Nursing at the University of Essex. I’m so excited to have been offered the opportunity to volunteer in Sri Lanka this summer with Travelteer, on their Nursing Placement programme. I’ll be working alongside other volunteers to make a positive impact on local communities whilst developing my skills to bring forward in my career as a Nurse! Where will the money go?
