Help us take our new feminist play to Camden Fringe 2025!
He just wants her safe. She just wants her life. Is there a space in the world for both?

Woman and Man are the epitome of the modern couple in love. He likes Eurovision, she takes the piss. On her twenty-third birthday their small London flat hosts vegan pancakes and her dying need to get ready for a big night out. But he doesn’t want her to go. Not after what happened last night. Because what happened last night can never happen again.

‘I’m Fine, It’s Just the Wine’ is a fast paced two-hander driven by feminist themes and witty comedy. It is a fresh showcase on how toxic masculinity can affect the non toxic man and explores what happens when a woman refuses to be labelled a victim.

The Team

Sally, Meeri and Dominic met and started their collaboration at East 15 Acting School, and this is their debut project as a collective, brought together by a shared passion for the themes explored in the play. As emerging artists they are excited to be participating in their first Camden Fringe.

This play was born from a place of anger, when walking home alone became the hardest task of our day. And so, this play celebrates the anger of women. It validates the frustration with living in a modern world and having to deal with seemingly old-fashioned problems. It shows us what happens when a woman refuses to accept the title of victim. Because the shame, and the blame, must switch sides.

Where will the money go?

  • If we hit our minimum target (£700), we will be able to cover the mosts essential costs: venue and tech hire, van hire, marketing materials and rehearsal space.
  • If we hit our full target (£850) we will also be able to cover the travel and other expenses of our team and pay for our props and costume.
  • If we surpass our full target of £850, all the rest of the funds will be going towards paying our cast and collaborators fairly, and furthermore investing in the future of the piece.

Help us succeed!

Each donation is greatly appreciated, but if you're not able to donate we would love if you share the fundraiser and spread word about the show. With your support you will be helping a team of emerging artists with a project that highlights a female perspective and opens an important conversation about underlying, subtle misogyny.
