Who am I?
My name is Klaudia Majek and I am a second year Business Administration student at the University of Essex. I am fundraising money to fulfil my dream of studying abroad in Australia at Macquarie University, Sydney. Taking part in this exchange will allow me to take up modules that I would not have been able to study otherwise. I have chosen to take part at this exchange program with Macquarie as it will provide me with opportunities to explore new culture, learn new things as well as give me a chance to travel.
My story
I wanted to go on an exchange program since I was in secondary school. This was also one of the main reasons why I applied to University of Essex.I believe that being able to take part in this once in a life time opportunity will develop not only my specialist skills, but also soft skills through acquiring a more global outlook and enhancing my communication skills. Plus, living in a different country will increase my independence. Studying at Macquarie will give the opportunity to really explore statistics, date business further. This is an area I really love and I would like to pursue a career intros field.
about Macquarie University
Macquarie University, establish in 1964 is consistently ranked in the top 2 per cent of universities in the world and in the top 10 universities in Australia. Macquarie is made out of five faculties and a especially amazing statistical department with amazing modules that I am planing on taking.
Where will the money go?
Sydney is one of the most expensive places to live in Australia. The money raised would go towards helping me cover some of the expenses.If the minimum fundraising target of £2,000 is raised, the money will go to:
- Accommodation £1700
- Visa £300
If the ideal fundraising target of £2,500 is raised the money will go towards:
- health insurance: £500
