Join me in making a difference with Travelteer! As a volunteer nurse, I will be privileged to witness first-hand the incredible work this organization does to empower underdeveloped communities and their environments in Sri Lanka. But they can't do it alone. That's why I'm participating in a two-week voluntary nursing placement in August 2024, to raise funds for this amazing cause.

I will be visiting government and private hospitals and local healthcare practitioners. The experience provides ethical work experience for Nursing and Midwifery students and offers access to Sri Lanka's healthcare system, giving a real insight into one of the busiest medical environments in the world. During the placement, I will learn about various forms of healthcare found in Sri Lankan communities, where I will be shadowing practitioners in both Western and Ayurvedic medicine fields.

This placement will also allow me the opportunity to enhance my skill set through mentorship from local professionals while immersing myself in the vibrant culture and tropical landscapes of Sri Lanka. I am thrilled to volunteer as a nurse in Sri Lanka and contribute to Travelteer Impact efforts. I aim to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause, and every donation counts towards making a positive impact.
