Project summary: As a Christian Union we are aiming to raise £200 to help run our mission’s week event during the 7th-11th of February 2022
Who we are?: The Christian Union is a student-run, inter-denominational, missional, student society. We aim to share Jesus with non-Christians on campus! We are partnered with a Christian charity called Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) that give us the guidance and tools we need to achieve this goal.
Our story: Our mission’s week aims to provide opportunities for students to consider and explore Christianity in an open and loving environment which include lunch bars and evening talks. Our theme for this event is “There is something more…” (shortened down to “something more” in conversations). We chose this title because we believe that Jesus came that we would have life and life to the full (John 10:10). Our world offers temporary solutions to life’s biggest problems and we believe that Jesus is the answer. Essex students are thinking through these big questions such as racism, climate change, identity and this will be a wonderful opportunity to talk about the gospel in a frame of context that our friends will understand.
Where will the money go: If we reach out target, we will be able to fully fund our events week which means paying for
-Food and drinks ( £250)
-Travel for speakers (£25)
-Promotion eg flyers ( £25)
