A short summary of your project
We are the University of Essex Baseball and Softball club. We are individuals with a lot of love towards outdoor sports, especially Baseball. Baseball is a sport from the United States, it's a very tactical, fun, hard but also rewarding sport - nothing feels better then hitting or catching during a game and that's why people keep coming back for more.
We are trying to raise £400 so we can buy uniforms for the team. Uniforms are an important part of being in a club and add to the feeling of belonging to a coherent unit. This will attract more people to the game and make the whole experience better and hopefully feel more rewarding. If we reach our target of £1,000 we'll be able to buy a Ball Throwing machine which would help us improve a lot!
Your story
We at the University of Essex have been playing baseball for a while, but until today we have not had a uniform. As the new president this was something that i wished to procure very badly, because as a player it is something i thought that we were lacking. I could see that most other universities had uniforms, and how that affected their player mentality. What I am trying to do, and this is also where you the donor comes in to play, is give our players a name to fall back on, our fans something to cheer on and something that they can put on to make them feel like they belong somewhere! This is why uniforms are so important in sports, and I hope that you as the donor feels the same way and helps us out in anyway you can.
Where will the money go?
- On uniforms and equipment. Uniform shirts are expensive, at around £30 per shirt, so if we do reach our minimum we will spend all of it on the shirts. We currently need 13-14 shirts.

- What will you do with extra funds if things really take off and you raise more than your target? We will buy much needed additional kit and equipment.
