A short summary of OUR project
Join the Essex Law Society for the annual law ball on March 6th 2026. We will have a Royal evening filled with food, drinks, dancing, and memories at the Colchester Town Hall!
Our story
The Essex Law Society has worked hard to provide events that allow our members to learn and grow in the field of law! Whether it is networking with top lawyers or just socialising with students from different years. The Law Society has successfully run multiple events to help students be prepared and integrate into the legal field!
For our flagship event we hope that everyone can join us in saying goodbye to a wonderful year filled with fun moments, wonderful opportunities, and experiences in the field of law!
Where will the money go?
Our minimum target will enable us to cover the following:
- Deposit & hiring the venue: £2250
- Two-course meal: £4000 (each meal costs us £40 per person: The price of the meal is included in the ticket)
- Activities & Entertainment!
Rewards
Phase 1:
Law Society Member Early Bird Tickets are £30 for ONLY the first 20 tickets!
Phase 2:
-For Law Society Members, each ticket is £35
-For Non-Members, each ticket is £40
-For External Guests, each ticket is £45 (For anyone who is not a University of Essex Student or Staff)
-For University of Essex Staff and Alumni, each ticket is £35
*PLEASE PURCHASE THE CORRECT TICKET TO AVOID YOUR TICKET FROM BEING INVALID! IF YOU PURCHASE AN INVALID TICKET, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED INTO THE EVENT!*
How can i secure my spot
Choose your pledge amount based on the reward you wish to claim. Then choose the reward.
Please select “Show name and amount” under the “Gift Visibility” section. Please ensure you follow all of the steps for the Google form (below) so we can find your donation.
Enter your full name and university email in the details section. If you do not have a university email, please use your personal email. Please ensure that the name you enter corresponds exactly with the name you intend to use on the Google Form.
Scroll down to the “Current Student” section and choose yes/no according to your status. If you choose “yes”, please enter your PRID.

6. Complete the Google Form:
- Sign in to Google and complete this form with your details HERE. Enter your name. PRID, and amount donated. Then select Main and Dessert for your 2-course meal. All food options are halal, so please ensure you specify any dietary restrictions, as we will cater to your specific needs.
- Your data will be securely stored and deleted following the event, in accordance with GDPR regulations.
7. Wait for Confirmation:
- Once we have gathered all the necessary information, a representative from the executive team will contact you with your formal invitation.
