Our centre delivers research, innovation, and impact to address the challenges coastal communities face and take advantage of the opportunities they offer. Part of the Institute of Public Health and Wellbeing, our centre is a national hub of excellence and champion of coastal communities.
.
We are committed to making an impact locally, regionally, and internationally by engaging with and supporting coastal communities. We are working in partnership with service users, policy makers, frontline professionals, and the public. The Centre also benefits from strong links to the University’s strengths in data analytics, public health, outreach, the arts, new technology and cross-disciplinary research. You can read about the fantastic coastal research happening across the University by reading ‘Our Story’ and following our Linked page.
A core mission of the Centre for Coastal Communities is to disseminate our research to a wide audience. The includes traditional academic seminars and events, but we also regularly meet with local and national partners, present research findings and host special events. All donations received will be re-invested back into the Centre, to enable continual development and expansion of our work. Donors will have the opportunity to receive information on what initiatives their donations have gone towards and the positive impact they have made.
